Sculpting Animals: Handbuilding, Thursdays 6:30-9pm, Feb 27th - April 3rd
Thursday Evening 6:30-9pm
Feb 27th - April 3rd
Taught By Ahn Lee
During our 6-week course we will work on advancing our handbuilding skills while learning how to coil build animals! This class is aimed at students who want to explore coil-building advanced shapes.
Each class will start with a demo for progressively more complicated animal pieces, and students will have the opportunity to practice each with a maquette. Each maquette will be 6-8 inches and one large piece up to 12 inches. Students will have the opportunity to follow along with each weekly maquette demo, and then work on their larger piece. These animals will include one made of one rounded shape with attachments (ex: chicken), two rounded shapes with attachments (ex: rabbit, bear, cat) and an animal standing on four feet (ex: goat, dog, cow, bison).
