Join us for an engaging two-day workshop where you'll elevate your pottery skills with expert techniques and creative surface design approaches. During the workshop, you’ll learn to throw two or more pieces and join them together to create a larger vase or pedestal. You’ll finish by adding textured surface designs to give your piece a unique, polished look.

Day 1: Throwing & Stacking
Dive into advanced techniques for throwing larger forms and stacking pieces with precision. Learn to use calipers effectively for consistency and explore how heating and torching can enhance your pottery process.

Day 2: Surface Design
Unlock the secrets to stunning surface designs! Gain insights into carving best practices and experiment with materials like slips, underglazes, and wax resist. You'll also learn how to plan and execute your design ideas for cohesive and polished results.

Whether you're a seasoned potter or looking to take your craft to the next level, this workshop will inspire creativity and expand your skill set.

Additional Information:

This workshop will include clay and bisque firing of all pieces. Attendees will be responsible for their own tools or can purchase a tool kit in our shop. A list of tools to bring will be e-mailed to you before the workshop. For an additional amount, Dusted and Blue can offer to glaze and glaze fire pieces on the attendees' behalf.

• Firing Limit:

  • Each participant can fire 1-2 large pieces up to 10” in either direction. Additional firing fee will apply for pieces larger based on volume.
